Finally Ernst Udet makes it onto the scene, and after finding Hella and her husband, he sets off to the nearby Inuit village to seek help. Along the way he sees Krafft and picks him up, brings him to the Inuit village where Krafft tells them of their plight. Virtually the entire village then goes in search of Hella and her husband; they find them and rescue them, and as all the remaining survivors sail away on the ship which has finally made it's way to them as well, the iceberg they had been stranded on capsizes, with Udet managing to fly away from it in his plane just in time as well.
