Stürme über dem Montblanc

Hannes manages to get one last emergency message through to Hella on his telegraph. As the new day begins, and with the storm seeming to have subsided, she sets out with a rescue team to save him, but they, too, encounter difficulties all along the way, and as they make their way up the mountain a new storm begins to brew. Meanwhile, Udet has heard of Hannes' plight and he sets off as well to attempt a rescue of his friend by plane. With Hannes now almost frozen to death, Udet reaches the summit first, and making a precarious landing on a glacier, he finds Hannes in the wreckage of the hut. Udet does his best to make a fire as quickly as possible, and just as Hannes is recovering, Hella and the rescue team finally arrive as well after having endured their own ordeal. The film ends with Hella giving Hannes a grateful embrace at her having found him alright, and so he realizes that she really did love him after all.
