What's New?
2006-08-07
Another year (and more) gone by, but, as usual, not without productivity! Some recent changes, additions and improvements include...
Technical Difficulties
- With my previous hosting company for this site having changed their servers to a new platform at the end of 2005, this resulted in numerous scripts on this site to no longer work — and, unfortunately, it was for several months in 2006 before I became aware of this! My apologies to anyone and everyone for any inconvenience this may have caused during that period, but rest assured that everything should be working correctly once again.
Corrections/Updates
- As usual (but hopefully not forever!), minor corrections and information updates have been made here and there throughout the site as they come to my attention, most notably what is now the correct list of sequences from the original version of Leni Riefenstahl's 1938 film, Olympia.
New Section
- Begun in July of 2006 (with initial entries compiled retroactively to the beginning of the year), LeNiews features links to relevant internet news stories related to Leni Riefenstahl (and/or her films) as they arise, and is now updated regularly.
New Wallpaper
- It's been a bit of a slow year (and-a-half) for new wallpapers, but at right is a preview of the latest addition to that section (this time a "colourized" production still from Arnold Fanck's Die weiße Hölle vom Piz Palü, in which Leni Riefenstahl played the leading female role) — click the image to view a larger version in a pop-up window! Downloadable versions of this piece (appropriately sized for various monitor resolutions) and many more digital art desktop backgrounds can be found on the Digital Art Wallpapers page of this site.
More updates to come!
(as always)
